“My friend Sarah sampled the Journey into Serenity, an hour and 20 minutes of bliss. She chose a citrus Mediterranean Massage Candle Sunset in Egypt, then the warm wax containing vitamins and essential oils was poured over her body before a tension-busting body massage. I have to point out that she also fell asleep – an amazing feat for someone who, by her own admission, ‘never switches off’.

I opted for the African Baobab Ritual. The treatment involves a relaxing mix of exfoliation and massage, followed by an uplifting scalp therapy and an energising leg therapy. All the products used are produced from the African oil taken from the seeds of the Baobab tree. They smelt heavenly and this, combined with soothing music and the therapist’s magical touch, helped me drift into a relaxed state. Later we sipped ‘perfect skin’ herbal tea in the relaxation area – and it worked (a colleague told me I looked ‘glowing’ on Monday).”
